BAİB Chairman Ümit Mirza Çavuşoğlu told AA correspondent that fertilizer exports have increased in recent years. Çavuşoğlu, emphasizing the high production of fertilizers in Antalya, a leader in greenhouse agriculture, stated, "With the great efforts of our exporters, we are achieving increases in fertilizer exports. In our region, there is around a 30% increase in fertilizer exports compared to last year. Both nationwide and in our region, fertilizer exports account for approximately 20% of chemical substances." Stating that processed products are more valuable, Çavuşoğlu said, "What other countries used to do to us, we are now doing to them. We are now taking raw materials for fertilizers, processing them, and selling them to them at a higher added value, which is more gratifying for us. Processing and selling raw materials is a situation we prefer more." Fertilizer exports to more than 50 countries BAİB President Çavuşoğlu reported that they have conducted fertilizer sales to more than 50 countries through the connections established by exporters. Emphasizing the significant role of fairs and commercial delegation visits in creating alternative markets or strengthening existing connections, Çavuşoğlu said, "For the region, the highest exports in fertilizers are made to Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkmenistan, Vietnam, Ukraine, and Italy. The exports to these countries exceed 1 million dollars. The presence of Far Eastern countries like Vietnam among the countries with the highest exports stands out. The visits we have been organizing to the Far East countries for a few years have started to bear fruit. We see that nothing happens without making efforts. We should make more visits. Exporting, finding a market is a very difficult job, but almost impossible to lose and then reclaim the existing market. By maintaining existing markets and adding different countries, we will continue to increase our exports."
